About Us
Our History
Established in 1978 as Herroz Sdn. Bhd., we began as a distributor of cutting tools and machining accessories from leading Western and Japanese manufacturers. Recognizing the need for high-performance, locally manufactured solutions, we expanded into production in 2000 with the formation of HPMT Industries Sdn. Bhd., introducing our own HPMT-branded cutting tools and establishing a presence in international markets across Europe and Asia.
Over the years, we have continuously strengthened our manufacturing capabilities, consolidated our operations in Shah Alam, and expanded globally with subsidiaries in Hong Kong, China, and Germany. In 2016, we further enhanced our value proposition with the establishment of an in-house Physical Vapor Deposition (“PVD”) coating facility to improve product performance and durability. Building on this expertise, we expanded into the PVD coating business in 2017 with the launch of Pentagon Coating Technologies Sdn. Bhd., a specialized subsidiary providing advanced coating solutions.
In 2019, we reached a significant milestone with the listing of HPMT Holdings Berhad on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (Bursa Malaysia), reinforcing our position as a trusted industry leader.
